Weirs and other structures

CRM have significant experience in modelling weirs, culverts, intake structures, siphons, locks and other hydraulic structures, both with fixed and mobile beds.

Studies can include erosion protection, inlet losses, air entrainment, effect on upstream flooding, effectiveness of stilling and safety of river users.

The CRM team have tested models of projects both in this country and overseas, including critical flood defence structures and major power generation facilities.
